During layout transformations and image-metadata processing, buffer-size calculations using width, height, and bytes per pixel can use unchecked 32-bit unsigned arithmetic. An overflow can yield an undersized allocation while subsequent operations continue to use the original dimensions, resulting in an out-of-bounds write and heap corruption.
