CVE-2026-63108 is a command injection vulnerability affecting Roo Code through version 3.54.0. The flaw is in the auto-approve execute feature’s command parsing logic, specifically in parse-command.ts, where parameter expansions are replaced with opaque placeholders before command substitutions are extracted and inspected. Because of this processing order, nested command substitutions embedded inside parameter expansion defaults can evade the containsDangerousSubstitution safety check. An attacker can craft input so that the outer command appears to match an allowlisted command prefix and is therefore auto-approved, while the nested payload is later interpreted and executed by the shell through execa. This results in bypass of allowlist and denylist enforcement and enables arbitrary command execution.
