CVE-2026-63797 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel rpmsg character-device driver. During endpoint-device probing, the driver publishes a newly allocated endpoint-device object through the default endpoint's private pointer before endpoint-device initialization completes. If initialization subsequently fails, the error path frees that object while the default endpoint can still invoke message or flow-control callbacks using the stale pointer. The upstream fix defers publication of the private pointer until initialization succeeds and makes both affected callbacks safely accept a NULL private pointer.
