CVE-2026-6469 is an incorrect ownership-assignment vulnerability in PostgreSQL. During an ALTER TABLE ALTER TYPE operation, PostgreSQL can reassign ownership of dependent extended statistics objects to the user executing the command rather than preserving the prior statistics-object owner. This improperly grants the table owner authority over those dependent objects and removes that authority from their original owner. PostgreSQL versions before 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected.
