CVE-2026-64699 is a kernel information disclosure vulnerability in Apple webdavfs. In the vulnerable WebDAV read path, the kernel allocates a buffer of up to 16 MB without zero-initializing it, then relies on a userspace WebDAV agent response that may be treated as successful even when no response body is returned. A malicious WebDAV server can induce this condition by returning an empty HTTP 206 response. Because the implementation does not adequately verify that the received data length satisfies the expected buffer contents before copying data back to userspace, uninitialized kernel memory can be returned to the requesting application. Apple describes the issue as a memory initialization flaw addressed through improved memory handling.
