CVE-2026-65916 is a missing authorization vulnerability in CyberPanel through version 1.9.1 affecting the cancelBackupCreation handler. The flaw allows an authenticated user to submit crafted POST requests that supply arbitrary backupCancellationDomain and fileName values without proper authorization checks to verify ownership or tenant scope. As a result, a user can interfere with backup operations belonging to other tenants by terminating active backup processes, deleting backup archives, corrupting backup status tracking, and removing associated database records. The issue is remotely exploitable and enables cross-tenant tampering of backup-related resources.
