CVE-2026-65917 is an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in CyberPanel through version 1.9.1 affecting the IncBackups application's incremental-backup handlers, specifically deleteBackup, fetchRestorePoints, and restorePoint. The flaw arises because these handlers accept an attacker-controlled, globally sequential IncJob integer identifier and fail to re-scope or validate that identifier against the authenticated user's authorized domain or tenant context. As a result, an authenticated panel user can enumerate backup job identifiers belonging to other tenants and perform operations on backup resources outside their authorization boundary. The vulnerable logic enables cross-tenant access to backup metadata, deletion of backup snapshots, and initiation of restore operations for backup jobs not owned by the attacker. The issue was fixed after version 1.9.1 in commit b198460.
