CVE-2026-66730 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in facil.io versions 0.6.0 through 0.7.6 affecting multipart/form-data body parsing. The flaw is caused by a missing progress guard in the HTTP body parsing loop: under malformed multipart input containing a partial closing boundary, the MIME parser can return 0 bytes consumed while setting neither completion nor error state. The caller then repeatedly invokes the parser against the same buffer region, creating an infinite loop. This traps the affected worker process at sustained 100% CPU utilization. Because the worker remains alive rather than crashing, it is not automatically respawned, allowing repeated requests to exhaust the worker pool and render the service unavailable until manually restarted.
