CVE-2026-66750 is a broken access control vulnerability in Let's Chat versions 0.3.0 through 0.4.8. The flaw affects the file retrieval route implemented in app/controllers/files.js, where the GET /files/:id/:name endpoint validates only that the requester is authenticated but does not verify whether the user is a member of the associated private or password-protected room. Because the route fails to enforce room membership checks, including the equivalent of Room.canJoin authorization logic, an authenticated attacker can request attachments belonging to rooms they are not authorized to access. The issue is further facilitated by the ability to enumerate adjacent MongoDB ObjectIds derived from a known file identifier, enabling recovery of files uploaded by other users.
