SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform Central Management Server stores sensitive credentials associated with user objects using a hard-coded cryptographic key. An attacker with high privileges and local access to the server can retrieve the stored user-associated objects and decrypt the protected credentials because the encryption relies on an embedded, non-unique key rather than deployment-specific secret material. This weakness exposes sensitive authentication data and undermines the protection of stored secrets within the platform.
