CVE-2026-67291 is a heap out-of-bounds read in FreeRDP versions through 3.28.0, fixed in 3.29.0. The flaw is in glyph-cache fragment handling in update_process_glyph_fragments() and glyph_cache_fragment_put(). When processing an RDP GLYPH_FRAGMENT_ADD update, FreeRDP reads a server-controlled one-byte declared fragment size but does not validate that the declared size is within the remaining received-buffer length before allocating and copying the fragment. A malicious RDP server can send a truncated fragment update with an oversized declared size, causing the client to read beyond the allocated heap buffer.
