CVE-2026-67846 is a potential incorrect privilege assignment vulnerability in the Berkeley Out-of-Order Machine (BOOM) v3 and v4 NBDTLB implementations. In the affected code, the raw mstatus.SUM value is used as part of read and write permission decisions without an explicit local validity check of satp.MODE at the point where the permission logic is applied. This can cause the NBDTLB to make incorrect access-control decisions for memory operations, resulting in privilege checks that do not properly reflect the intended execution or address-translation context.
