CVE-2026-69159 was rejected as a duplicate of CVE-2026-67306. The canonical vulnerability affects FreeRDP versions before 3.29.0. The planar_decompress_plane_rle and planar_decompress_plane_rle_only routines validate the presence of an RLE control byte but fail to verify that the input buffer contains the zero to fifteen raw bytes specified by that byte. A malicious RDP server can send a truncated planar bitmap or surface update that causes the FreeRDP client decoder to read beyond the source buffer.
