HTTP::Tiny for Perl before version 0.095 forwards explicitly caller-supplied credential headers when following HTTP 3xx redirects to a different origin. Its redirect handling follows the Location target, while subsequent request preparation re-merges caller-provided headers without confirming that the scheme, host, and port match the original request. Authorization, Cookie, and Proxy-Authorization headers can therefore be transmitted to a cross-origin redirect target. The behavior also permits HTTPS-to-HTTP redirects, exposing forwarded credentials in plaintext in transit. The documented exclusion of Authorization headers from redirects applied only to Basic authentication supplied through URL userinfo, not to explicitly supplied request headers.
