CVE-2026-70376 is a critical cross-site request forgery vulnerability in Pluck CMS affecting versions earlier than 4.7.21. The admin panel protects administrative actions by comparing the Referer header in the requestedByTheSameDomain() function within data/inc/functions.admin.php, and does not use per-request anti-CSRF tokens anywhere in the admin area. The vulnerable logic incorrectly treats requests that lack Referer or Host information as same-origin. As a result, an attacker can cause an authenticated administrator's browser to submit forged requests from a malicious cross-site page that suppresses referrer information. Because administrative actions exposed through admin.php can be triggered this way, exploitation can be used to create pages containing attacker-controlled HTML, resulting in stored cross-site scripting, or to install PHP modules or themes, resulting in remote code execution.

Repository is a small standalone exploit toolkit for CVE-2026-70376 affecting Pluck CMS. Structure is minimal: top-level README documents the vulnerability and attack chain; exploit/README.md explains usage; exploit/pluck_csrf_rce.py is the main CLI exploit; exploit/csrf_poc.html is a browser-delivered lure page implementing the real cross-site attack. The Python script uses requests and intentionally omits the Referer header to reproduce the vulnerable fail-open logic in Pluck's requestedByTheSameDomain() check. It supports four main actions: probe (compare foreign Referer vs absent Referer behavior), shell (upload shell.php.jpg through /admin.php?action=images and optionally execute commands), delete (trigger destructive file deletion via admin.php?action=deletefile), and lure (generate a standalone no-referrer HTML page). The HTML PoC sets <meta name="referrer" content="no-referrer">, then either navigates to a destructive GET endpoint or silently submits a multipart form to upload a PHP webshell. Main exploit capability is authenticated CSRF against a logged-in admin, with RCE as an amplifier when the server executes double-extension PHP files. This is a real exploit/PoC rather than a detector, and it contains actionable payload and exploitation workflow.
This repository is a small standalone exploit toolkit for CVE-2026-70376 affecting Pluck CMS. It contains 5 files total: top-level documentation, an exploit subdirectory README, a Python CLI exploit, and a browser-based HTML CSRF lure. The main exploit logic is in exploit/pluck_csrf_rce.py, with exploit/csrf_poc.html serving as a realistic victim-delivered drive-by page. Core capability: the exploit abuses Pluck CMS's fail-open Referer-based CSRF protection. The application accepts state-changing admin requests when the Referer header is absent, and the exploit intentionally omits Referer to reproduce that condition. The Python tool supports four workflows: (1) probe the asymmetry between foreign Referer and absent Referer, (2) authenticate with the admin password or reuse a supplied PHPSESSID cookie, (3) upload a PHP webshell using a double-extension filename shell.php.jpg through /admin.php?action=images, and (4) delete arbitrary files through /admin.php?action=deletefile&var1=<file>. It also generates an offline lure HTML page. The HTML PoC demonstrates the browser attack path directly. It sets <meta name="referrer" content="no-referrer"> so the victim browser suppresses Referer, then either triggers a destructive GET or submits a multipart/form-data POST containing a PHP webshell disguised as an image. If the target server executes multi-extension files as PHP, the uploaded shell becomes reachable under images/shell.php.jpg and supports command execution via the c query parameter. Repository purpose: to demonstrate a full attack chain from site-wide CSRF to destructive actions and possible RCE on vulnerable Pluck CMS deployments. This is not merely a detector; it includes working exploitation code, a payload, session handling, login support, and a lure generator. The exploit is operational rather than framework-based, with a basic hardcoded PHP shell payload and target-specific endpoints.
