CVE-2026-70463 is an authorization bypass in rsync versions 3.1.0 through versions earlier than 3.5.0. The auth users directive parser mishandles group entries containing spaces, such as @Group Name. Incorrect tokenization splits the entry at the space boundary and silently discards the associated deny rule. An authenticated user who should be denied based on username or group membership can consequently connect to a restricted rsync module.
