CVE-2026-71203 is an authentication bypass in changedetection.io affecting the REST API specification endpoint. While API resources are generally protected by an authentication decorator that validates the caller's API key header, the Spec resource exposed at /api/v1/full-spec lacks the expected authentication check. Its get() method is registered without the token-validation decorator and also lacks request validation. As a result, an unauthenticated client can access the full merged OpenAPI schema even when API access control is enabled. The exposed schema reveals the application's API surface, including endpoint paths, parameters, and registered processor plugins.
