CVE-2026-71957 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the app.cgi interface of D-Link DWR-M961 devices, affecting hardware version C1 and software versions prior to 1.1.5_C1_202607071108, including 1.1.2_C1_202602110044. The flaw is triggered by supplying an overly long string to the netAcc.addlist[].name field. Successful exploitation by a remote attacker can lead to arbitrary command execution on the device, and malformed input may also cause the device to crash.
