The flaw is present in the quicksetup.cgi interface, where insufficient bounds checking on the test4, ssid2, and username parameters allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to submit overly long input. By crafting a specific payload, an attacker can corrupt memory and achieve arbitrary command execution on the device; malformed input may also destabilize the process and crash the router.
