CVE-2026-73159 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in CTI-Transmute affecting versions 1.4 and earlier. The issue arises from the tag icon field being user-controlled and later rendered into HTML through Vue's v-html. The vulnerable helper function constructed an HTML fragment directly from the supplied icon value using a Font Awesome <i> element pattern, allowing a crafted value to break out of the intended attribute or element context and inject attacker-controlled HTML. When a tag containing the malicious icon value was subsequently displayed, including in the administrative triage interface, the injected payload could execute in the victim's browser.
