CVE-2026-73665 is an unauthenticated command execution vulnerability in FreePBX UCP prior to version 17.0.9. The flaw arises because the UCP Node server uses Socket.IO middleware with io.use(checkAuth) in a manner that, under Socket.IO version 4, only protects the default namespace. Custom namespaces do not consistently invoke the authentication checks implemented in node/lib/auth.js, allowing unauthenticated clients to connect. An attacker can then send crafted event values containing carriage-return or newline characters through the Asterisk Manager Interface action handling path patched by node/lib/asterisk-manager-patch.js, resulting in arbitrary command execution as the asterisk service user.
