CVE-2026-7411 is a critical path traversal vulnerability in Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK affecting versions prior to 2.0.0-milestone-10. The flaw is in the Submodel HTTP API file upload handling, where the fileName parameter is not properly normalized or canonicalized before being used in file write operations. Because the resulting path is not verified to remain within the intended storage directory, an unauthenticated remote attacker can supply traversal sequences in the upload request and escape the expected storage boundary. Successful exploitation allows arbitrary file creation or overwrite anywhere on the host filesystem that is writable by the BaSyx Java process. This arbitrary file write condition can be leveraged for remote code execution and ultimately complete system compromise, depending on the target environment and writable locations available to the process.

Critical path traversal / arbitrary file write vulnerability in Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK Submodel HTTP API that can allow unauthenticated remote attackers to write files outside the intended directory and achieve remote code execution.
A path traversal vulnerability in Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK prior to 2.0.0-milestone-10 that allows unauthenticated arbitrary file write via a crafted fileName parameter in the Submodel HTTP API, potentially leading to remote code execution and full system compromise.
An unauthenticated arbitrary file write vulnerability caused by inadequate path normalization in the Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK Submodel HTTP API, enabling path traversal and potentially remote code execution.
