CVE-2026-7424 is an integer-underflow vulnerability in the DHCPv6 sub-option parser of FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP. In the parser's handling of unknown DHCPv6 sub-options, an unsigned calculation involving the current sub-option payload length and the cumulative bytes consumed can underflow, causing the parser index to advance incorrectly and corrupting parser state. The issue affects deployments with DHCPv6 enabled, including FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP V4.0.0 through V4.2.5 and V4.3.0 through V4.4.0.

An integer underflow vulnerability in the DHCPv6 sub-option parser of FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP that can be exploited by an adjacent network attacker to corrupt IPv6 network configuration and cause a denial of service when DHCPv6 is enabled.
An integer underflow vulnerability in the FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP DHCPv6 sub-option parser (prvDHCPv6_subOption()) that can be triggered by a single malformed DHCPv6 packet from an adjacent network device, causing parser corruption, incorrect IPv6/DNS configuration, and a permanent IP task freeze requiring hardware reset.
