CVE-2026-74795 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Scriban before version 6.6.0. The flaw is caused by uncontrolled recursion in Scriban's recursive-descent parser: the ParserOptions.ExpressionDepthLimit setting defaults to null, leaving expression nesting effectively unbounded in affected versions. An attacker who can control template input can submit a deeply nested template, such as one containing excessive nested parentheses or blocks, causing recursive parser calls to exhaust thread stack space and trigger a StackOverflowException. In .NET, StackOverflowException is not recoverable by normal exception handling, so successful exploitation immediately terminates the hosting process. The issue is remotely exploitable without authentication in deployments that parse untrusted or user-supplied templates.
