CVE-2026-75501 is a missing-authentication vulnerability in Calix EXOS firmware affecting the GS7 XGS residential router platform, including the GS5239XG. In affected firmware, the MiniUPnPd UPnP WANIPConnection SOAP control service is bound to the public WAN interface on TCP port 5000 and accepts requests without authentication or equivalent access controls. A remote attacker on the internet can send crafted SOAP actions to invoke sensitive UPnP functions, including adding, deleting, and enumerating NAT port mappings and querying the router’s external IP address. Because these functions are exposed through the WAN-facing interface rather than being restricted to trusted local clients, the flaw allows external manipulation of firewall and NAT behavior and can create persistent inbound exposure of internal network services.
