CVE-2026-75973 is an improper-authentication vulnerability in Apache Tomcat's Jakarta Authentication integration. When SimpleAuthConfigProvider is configured as the default Jakarta Authentication provider and is used by multiple web applications, Tomcat can retain and reuse the realm selected for the first application that authenticates a request when processing authentication for other applications. This crosses web-application authentication boundaries and can cause authentication and authorization decisions to be evaluated against the incorrect application's realm. Affected releases are Tomcat 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.25, 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.59, 9.0.0.M4 through 9.0.121, and known affected end-of-life 8.5.0 through 8.5.100 releases.
