User Profile Builder before version 4.0.1 deserializes data from imported configuration files without validating that the deserialized value is an expected safe type. This can permit PHP object injection through the configuration-import functionality. The affected functionality is supplied by a free add-on and is disabled by default. The plugin does not include a usable POP chain itself; consequential exploitation depends on a compatible gadget chain in another installed component.
