CVE-2026-77815 is a symlink traversal vulnerability in zanllp Infinite Image Browsing affecting versions up to and including 1.8.0. The flaw is caused by path handling in scripts/iib/tool.py, where to_abs_path used os.path.normpath to normalize requested paths. While this removes dot segments, it does not resolve symbolic links. As a result, a symbolic link placed inside a scanned directory can still pass the containment check performed by is_path_trusted in scripts/iib/api.py even when the link target is outside the intended directory boundary. When the application serves the resource, FileResponse follows the symlink target and returns the contents of the external file. This results in arbitrary file disclosure from the host filesystem in deployments that rely on the affected confinement logic.
