CVE-2026-80230 is an improper TLS certificate-validation vulnerability in libcurl's handling of CURLOPT_PINNEDPUBLICKEY. When an application configures public-key pinning but disables both CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER and CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, libcurl can fail to enforce the configured pin if the server presents no certificate. The connection can therefore succeed without the public-key authentication control that the application intended to require.
