CVE-2026-8054 is a critical SQL injection vulnerability in dotCMS Core affecting the Publish Audit API endpoints /api/auditPublishing/get and /api/auditPublishing/getAll in versions 25.11.04-1 through 26.04.28-02. The vulnerable code path accepted attacker-controlled input, including bundle identifiers supplied to the audit publishing functionality, and incorporated that input into dynamically constructed SQL without proper sanitization or parameter binding. The affected implementation in the Publish Audit API used string concatenation/interpolation to build a query against the publishing_queue_audit table, and the endpoints did not enforce authentication prior to the fix. As a result, a remote unauthenticated attacker could submit crafted requests that alter the intended SQL logic and execute arbitrary SQL statements against the backend PostgreSQL database. The issue was fixed in dotCMS Core 26.04.28-03 by parameterizing the SQL query and requiring authenticated access to the affected endpoints with appropriate backend authorization.
