CVE-2026-81719 is a code-injection vulnerability in openssl_encrypt versions before 1.4.9. The default signature policy for non-built-in plugins was WARN, permitting unsigned or unverifiable third-party plugins to be compiled and executed in the host process during import. This execution occurs before installation of the runtime sandbox. The remaining default control, an AST denylist, was incomplete and bypassable. A malicious plugin loaded by a user can therefore execute attacker-controlled code in the host process.
