CVE-2026-82079 is a stack-based buffer overflow in local wireless networking functionality on original Nintendo Switch consoles running system software before version 23.0.0. Crafted network traffic received after a device joins the console's temporary local wireless environment can overflow a stack buffer and corrupt control flow. An attacker may use return-oriented programming to redirect execution. The exposed workflows include Album's Send to Smartphone feature and the Send to Smartphone capability in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit.
