CVE-2026-8388 is a memory-safety vulnerability in the JavaScript Engine JIT component used by Firefox and Thunderbird. The issue is described as incorrect boundary conditions, indicating improper handling of bounds during JIT-related processing that can lead to out-of-bounds memory access. In affected builds, crafted web content or script processed by the JIT engine could trigger the flaw. Mozilla fixed the vulnerability in Firefox 150.0.3, Firefox ESR 115.36, Firefox ESR 140.11, and Thunderbird 140.11.
