CVE-2026-84647 is a type-confusion vulnerability in Stapler form data binding, included in Jenkins 2.579 and earlier and Jenkins LTS 2.568.2 and earlier. Affected Stapler versions do not constrain object instantiation from bound form data to types compatible with the target field's expected type. Consequently, an authenticated user with Overall/Read permission can cause Stapler to instantiate unintended configuration-related object types through a field not intended to accept them. Stapler 2088.2093.vd7c3e58008a_6 is explicitly unaffected.
