Stapler versions 1839.ved17667b_a_eb_5 through 2107.v8dfcb_e8ed317, except 2088.2093.vd7c3e58008a_6, embed the authenticated user's Jenkins cross-site request forgery token (crumb) as a JavaScript string literal in a dynamically generated JavaScript resource. The affected Stapler versions are included in Jenkins weekly releases 2.447 through 2.579 and Jenkins LTS releases 2.452.1 through 2.568.2. An attacker controlling web content within Jenkins's same-site scope can retrieve the victim's valid crumb and bypass CSRF protections for requests made in that victim's authenticated session.

A Jenkins/Jenkins LTS vulnerability addressed through FreeBSD package security updates. The plugin assigns a CVSS v2 vector of AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C, but provides no further technical detail.
A CSRF-token exposure vulnerability in Stapler as bundled with Jenkins. A dynamically generated JavaScript endpoint exposes a user's Jenkins crumb as a string literal. An attacker able to control a page hosted on the same site as Jenkins can retrieve the valid token and execute actions in the victim's authenticated Jenkins session.
A Jenkins/Stapler CSRF-token exposure flaw in which dynamically generated JavaScript embeds a user's valid crumb, enabling same-site attackers to perform actions as that user.
