CVE-2026-8467 is a code-injection vulnerability in phenixdigital phoenix_storybook versions 0.5.0 through versions before 1.1.0. The playground's unauthenticated psb-assign LiveView/WebSocket event handler accepts attacker-controlled attribute names and values and stores them without sanitization. During rendering, ComponentRenderer.attributes_markup/1 inserts binary attribute values into generated HEEx markup without escaping quotation marks or HEEx expression delimiters. A crafted value can terminate the intended attribute context and inject an inline Elixir expression. The generated template is compiled with EEx.compile_string/2 and evaluated using Code.eval_quoted_with_env/3 with full Kernel imports and no sandbox, resulting in server-side arbitrary code execution.
