MapLibre GL JS versions before 6.4.1 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability in DOM.sanitize(). The function iterates element attributes through a live NamedNodeMap while removing unsafe attributes from the same collection. Removal shifts subsequent indexes, causing an adjacent dangerous attribute to escape inspection. An attacker controlling third-party style attribution strings or user-supplied custom attributions can supply consecutive dangerous attributes so that an event handler survives sanitization and executes when the attribution control inserts the content through innerHTML. Execution requires a victim to render the affected map content.

Critical zero-click cross-site scripting vulnerability in MapLibre GL JS caused by mutation of the live DOM attribute collection during sanitization. An attacker can supply HTML with consecutive unsafe attributes so that an event handler survives sanitization and executes in the victim browser's security context.
A critical zero-click cross-site scripting flaw in MapLibre GL JS's DOM.sanitize() implementation. Removing attributes from a live attribute collection causes index shifting that can leave an adjacent malicious event-handler attribute unsanitized, enabling JavaScript execution in a victim application's browser context.
A zero-click cross-site scripting sanitizer-bypass vulnerability in MapLibre GL JS. Iterating and mutating the live attribute collection can leave an adjacent dangerous HTML event-handler attribute intact; it can execute when untrusted or third-party attribution HTML is inserted through the attribution control.
A high-severity cross-site scripting vulnerability in MapLibre GL JS before version 6.4.1. A flaw in DOM.sanitize() can skip adjacent malicious attributes during sanitization, allowing attacker-controlled event-handler attributes such as onload or ontoggle to execute when rendered in an attribution control.
