The flaw is caused by improper sanitization of user-controlled input before it is incorporated into a database query. According to the provided content, an unauthenticated attacker can supply arbitrary SQL via a URL parameter on pages that use the "Date Menu of news articles" plugin. Exploitation is only possible when that plugin is in use and the TypoScript/Plugin setting disableOverrideDemand is not enabled. The issue is classified as CWE-89.
