CVE-2026-87796 is an unrestricted file-upload vulnerability in the Multi Uploader for Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress through version 1.1.9. The plugin's move_file function insufficiently validates file types while handling chunked uploads, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to upload arbitrary files to the server. Depending on the web server's handling of the upload location and file type, an uploaded server-executable file can lead to remote code execution.

This six-file repository contains a Python 3 proof of concept, README advisory/reproduction material, and a Docker Compose WordPress/MySQL lab definition. The primary script fetches a nonce, submits two multipart chunks to WordPress admin-ajax using the gfmu-plupload-submit action, and retrieves the uploaded PHP-named witness from the GFMU temporary uploads directory. It targets an order-of-operations issue in the plugin's chunked upload path: according to the included analysis, move_file copies the assembled file before file-type validation, unlike the non-chunked path. The hardcoded target is a loopback-only WordPress laboratory service at 127.0.0.1:8088. The payload is deliberately a non-interactive GIF/PHP witness rather than a shell, making this an operational but constrained proof of arbitrary upload and potential RCE. Docker files provision WordPress 6.4 with PHP 8.2/Apache and MySQL 8.0, mount the vulnerable plugin at its standard WordPress location, and restrict published access to localhost.
