CVE-2026-8806 is an Expected Behavior Violation vulnerability affecting Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC iQ-F Series FX5-ENET/IP Ethernet Module (FX5-ENET/IP) in all versions. A remote attacker can exploit the issue by continuously sending a large number of communication packets to the module’s Ethernet port within a short period of time. This packet flood increases the device’s processing load to the point that its internal anomaly-detection processing is not performed, which in turn causes the module’s communication function to stop. The issue is network-reachable and does not require authentication or user interaction based on the provided CVSS vectors and advisory context.
