CVE-2026-9539 is an out-of-bounds heap-read vulnerability in freedesktop.org libslirp before version 4.9.2. The flaw is in TCP urgent-data handling in sosendoob, where manipulation of TCP URG flags and the urgent pointer (ti_urp) can cause an integer underflow and an out-of-bounds read from the host process heap. In hypervisor deployments using libslirp for guest networking, such as QEMU user-mode networking, a privileged guest can induce disclosure of memory belonging to the host-side process.

A vulnerability affecting older stable-distribution libslirp packages that, when combined with an unassigned bug-fix commit, reportedly enables arbitrary host memory read/write primitives and a virtual-machine escape.
A known libslirp vulnerability chained with a separate, previously unassigned bug during a controlled VM-escape demonstration, resulting in arbitrary host-memory access.
A libslirp vulnerability affecting Debian 12's libslirp 4.7.0. The agent chained it with a separate fixed but unnumbered libslirp flaw to obtain arbitrary host-memory read/write and successfully escape the QEMU/KVM VM.
