Once launched, Rifdoor establishes persistence through a Registry Run autostart entry and conducts basic host reconnaissance by collecting the compromised system’s username and IP address. It also uses encrypted command-and-control communications implemented with a stream cipher, indicating an effort to protect operator traffic from inspection.
