Researchers reported that BTMob is operating as an Android banking malware and fraud-as-a-service platform that lets multiple criminal actors create branded malicious apps and run large-scale device-takeover campaigns. Analysis of leaked source packages and exposed infrastructure linked the operation to roughly 1,400 live servers, including command-and-control nodes, an automated APK-building ecosystem, and backend components used to manage victim infections and operator access.
The platform is being spread through fake apps, cloned download pages, and social-engineering lures, including WhatsApp messages and phone calls in Brazil that pressure victims to sideload APKs and grant dangerous permissions. Investigators tied the activity to infrastructure using /yaarsa/ PHP backend paths, HTTP and WebSocket endpoints, a control panel on port 3000 identified by the string "painel de controle elite", and payloads including lnat-tv-pro.apk, BTMob.exe, SolrStarter.exe, and SolrWorker.exe, while also linking the operation to the earlier CraxsRAT and SpySolr malware families.

A forum-style post advertised a BTMOB 3.6.3 package that allegedly included complete source code, compiled software, reseller panel server code, setup tutorials, and a dropper APK builder source. The listing promoted private branding, deployment of a private reseller panel, and resale of BTMOB license IDs to clients for recurring monthly revenue.
Flare researchers reported that BTMOB activity, first seen in mid-2025, expanded from a centralized malware-as-a-service operation into a broader ecosystem of resellers, source-code sellers, independent operators, and possible impersonators. The report says internal Telegram disputes and a source-code sale to a Brazil-based operator contributed to independent forks, while official and unofficial channels later advertised BTMOB variants including V4.1 in February 2026 and V4.5 in April 2026.
Researchers documented BTMob-related infrastructure and lures including server.yaarsa.com, btmobrat.net, playstoreapps.pro, playstoreap.lovable.app, rastrear-encomendas2.pages.dev, and meusdownloads.site. They also identified lnat-tv-pro.apk as a BTMob v2.5 sample, BTMob.exe as the operator panel, and SolrStarter.exe and SolrWorker.exe as APK-builder components.
The report identified HTTP POST traffic to /yaarsa/private/yarsap_*.php, backend paths including account-creation and login endpoints, and a WebSocket C2 pattern at ws://<host>:8080/con. Associated traffic included fields such as idf, sidf, cip, and itype:"Slr_client", while direct HTTP access to port 8080 returned 426 Upgrade Required.
Researchers confirmed multiple systems as full BTMob C2 servers, including one host exposing web, database, remote desktop, and WebSocket services. Confirmed infrastructure included ports 80, 3000, 3306, 8080, and 3389 and the IP address 77.111.101.24.
Using the Shodan query http.html_hash:-983012381 port:3000, researchers found 1,402 hosts serving BTMob's distinctive fake 403 page. They also used the fingerprint string "painel de controle elite" to locate associated bypass-panel instances.
